  1. Welcome to EarthCare Interactive for Macintosh and IBM PC 
  2. compatibles.
  3.  
  4. To run:
  5. Double click on EarthCare! icon to start.
  6.     The EarthCare main menu will first appear.
  7.     Click on "Show me how" to receive detailed instructions
  8.         on the location and use of the features of EarthCare!
  9.     From the EarthCare main menu select by clicking on:
  10.         **** One of the four narrated books.
  11.             I Love... Air, Animals, Dirt and Water.
  12.             (inside the books:
  13.                 ** right and left frogs go to the next and 
  14.                 last page.
  15.                 ** click on the right frog to interrupt reading
  16.                 ** click on words to hear any word
  17.                 ** click on left picture to reveal surprise 
  18.                 animations
  19.                 ** click on the shaking present to get activity
  20.                 ideas (Idea boxes).
  21.                 ** find the hidden animations!
  22.         
  23.         **** Alphabet animal dictionary.
  24.         **** One of the four songs (also available in stereo!)
  25.             (use the Music version unless you have stereo 
  26.             speakers)
  27.         **** "Read them all" to read all the books -- to stop 
  28.             readings --- CLICK on the right frog.
  29.         **** Press command 'Q' to quit at any time.

  31.     Also included are all the text for each book in TeachText 
  32. format,  words for all the songs, and collected activity ideas!

  34. To install (WINDOWS) Only
  35.  
  36. 1.    Start Windows.
  37.  
  38. 2.    In the Program Manager or File Manager, click on the "FILE" 
  39. menu option.
  40.  
  41. 3.    Click on the "RUN" menu option.
  42.  
  43. 4.    In the "Command Line Box" type the following:
  44.         
  45.         "The CD-ROM Drive Letter":\install.exe
  46.         (or double click on the install.exe program)
  47.  
  48.  
  49. This will create a program group with eight icons in the Program 
  50. Manager.  No files will be copied and very little hard disk space is 
  51. required (10 k or less!)
